As President and Chief Executive Officer, Hank leads a passionate and skilled team dedicated to elevating the wellbeing of our community. Having built a 30-year career as a senior executive in the financial services industry, Hank brings a deep level of leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning expertise to his role and embraces MSCU’s commitment to achieving financial success for our members. He remains laser focused on continually enhancing the member-centric and employee driven philosophy that drives the strategic model for MSCU. A committed humanitarian, Hank has sat on a range of boards and contributes to several community projects.

Hank volunteers countless hours in the community. He is an appointed commissioner on the Wallingford Economic Commission, a member of the finance council at his church, and for the past several years, he has traveled to the Dominican Republic doing mission work with Haitian immigrants.
His life's greatest accomplishment, his two grown sons.
When not working or volunteering, you can usually find Hank doing an outdoor activity - including chasing his chickens out of the neighbor’s yard!

Freddy Mercury and Queen
A career financial services executive with 25+ years in the credit union and banking industry, Stephen brings a diverse history of experience to the senior management team. He began working the teller lines, to running nightly operations, to working as an analyst in the industry. After that he worked in the community banking world managing investments and monitoring risk. Currently in his role as CFO, he oversees all financial aspects of MSCU, along with the back-office departments of Operations, Card Services and IT. Stephen guides the strategic growth of the credit union while making sure it remains financially strong.

Stephen serves as the Treasurer of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury.
His wife and daughter. As a teacher, his wife deals with the angst of high school kids on a daily basis while trying to teach them Chemistry, Biology or Forensics, something he would not have the patience to do; while his daughter has shown him what you can accomplish if you set your mind to it. He witnessed her earn her Bushi Ban karate black belt in a grueling two-day physical and mental test that has since inspired him to start his own journey to black belt status.
His first job was working the tobacco farms of northern Connecticut. Stephen looks fondly on that rigorous job as it taught him a lot about effort, dedication and leadership at an early age.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services public sector, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge to the MSCU Senior Management team. As the V.P. of Sales and Service, he goes out of his way to ensure exceptional experiences for our members, corporate partners and the community. In his role, Mike is responsible for the strategic management and daily oversight of MSCU’s Branch Operations, Marketing, and Member Care departments. From leading business development meetings to optimizing the member experience to rolling up his sleeves for the hands-on work that goes along with day-to-day operations, Mike remains busy in all areas of the credit union.

Not only does Mike donate to local humane societies and community development programs for music education, he continually takes part in beautification projects throughout his hometown and volunteers at nonprofits committed to supporting our nation's veterans.

Ann joined MSCU in 2010 with over 20 years of human resources experience and immediately exhibited a propensity to stimulate employee engagement and ensure that staff goals were strategically aligned with MSCU’s Vision. As Vice President of Human Resources, Ann is responsible for all functional areas of HR as well as Training and Development and Compliance maintaining strict adherence to banking and employment regulations. Ann’s expertise in her field coupled with her diplomatic style of leadership and counseling has made her an influential contributor in MSCU business decisions. Ann graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology. She also holds the nationally recognized certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Ann consistently works with veterans from serving meals to providing career counseling at the Homes for the Brave residence in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
HR Executive at Westinghouse Electric Company who gave her the following sound advice: Start every sentence with “To the best of my knowledge,” and “Remember you do not have to ’like’ everyone, but you need to ‘love’ people.”

Joining the Mutual Security Credit Union team over a decade ago, Jeff has grown within the credit union serving in a variety of capacities giving him an invaluable and diverse skill set, as well as a bird’s eye view of the member experience. Jeff is a 20-year financial services veteran who has covered responsibilities in many areas, including branch sales, collections, loan processing and underwriting, as well as business development. As the Vice President of Lending, Jeff oversees all aspects of lending activity to ensure effective and efficient operations, quality member service and provide visible leadership to our business partners, staff and members.
