The privacy of member financial records is a top priority of MSCU. MSCU is required by law to give each member an annual notice regarding how MSCU collects uses and safeguards personal financial information. MSCU is committed to providing competitive and contemporary products and services to meet the member’s financial needs. In order for MSCU to conduct business, it may become necessary to disclose information collected, as described below, about members to companies that perform marketing or other services on behalf of MSCU so that certain financial opportunities may be provided. To do so MSCU has entered into agreements with other companies that provide either service(s) to MSCU or additional financial products for members to consider. To protect the member’s privacy, MSCU only works with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information provided. MSCU does not permit these companies to sell the information provided to other third parties.
Information MSCU collects and discloses.
MSCU collects nonpublic information about members to conduct the operations of MSCU and serving your needs. Information comes from the following sources:
MSCU may disclose information collected about you to other third parties under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct the operations of MSCU, follow instructions as you authorize, or protect the security of MSCU’s financial records.
Disclosure of information about former members.
If a member decides to terminate their membership or become an inactive member, MSCU will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
How MSCU protects information.
MSCU restricts access to nonpublic personal member information to MSCU employees who have a specific business purpose to utilize your data. MSCU employees are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. MSCU maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations and leading industry practices to safeguard your nonpublic personal information.
How you can protect your private information
MSCU is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. You can help by following these simple guidelines:

Protect your account numbers, plastic card numbers, PINs (personal identification number) or passwords. Never disclose your CashLine / WebLine PIN or WebLine password to anyone. Notify MSCU immediately if you suspect an unauthorized person has obtained your PIN and/or your password. Never keep your PIN with your card, which can provide free access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.

Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security number or other personal financial information to other persons. If someone calls you claiming the call is on behalf of MSCU and asks for your account number, you should beware. Official MSCU staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.

Keep your information with MSCU current. Please notify MSCU if your name, address, phone number or email address changes. It is important that MSCU has current information on how to reach you. MSCU will attempt to contact your immediately if potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity on your account is detected.
Web Site Privacy
Visitors to MSCU's web site (http://www.mscu.net) will remain anonymous. MSCU does not collect personal identifying information about visitors to the MSCU site. MSCU’s computers collect standard non-identifying information about visits to the MSCU site, such as date and time visited, IP address, city-state, and country. This information is used to compile standard statistics on website usage.
If identifying information has been provided via e-mail (e.g., name and address), the information will only be used in communications to handle the request. It is not sold or transferred to other parties. MSCU is committed to protecting member’s privacy. MSCU's site contains links to other web sites. Children’s Online Privacy Protection
The online financial services offered through MSCU's Website are not designed for or directed toward children under age 13. MSCU does not knowingly solicit or collect data from children, and MSCU does not knowingly market to children online without express parental consent or notification. If MSCU receives online information from anyone that MSCU knows to be a child, MSCU will only use the information to respond directly to a child's request.
MSCU recognizes that protecting children's identities and online privacy is important and that responsibility rests with MSCU and with parents. If any member believes their child has provided personally identifiable information to MSCU, they must contact MSCU so that MSCU can allow the parent or guardian the opportunity to review and delete such information.
