Classic Checking
A COMPLETELY FREE checking account.  NO monthly fees or minimum balance requirements.

Advantage Checking
FREE with Direct Deposit ($100/wk/avg); a "competitive" interest-earning account with an additional free box of duplicate checks each year.  (Without Direct Deposit of $100/wk/avg, a $3 monthly fee applies.)

Preferred Checking
FREE with $1,000 minimum daily balance; a "preferred" rate interest-earning checking account with an additional two free boxes of duplicate checks each year.  (If daily balance falls below $1,000, a $5 monthly fee applies.)

There are now two additional options beyond the branch for reordering your personal and business checks.

 Note:

All new MSCU checking accounts receive their first box of duplicate checks for FREE.  

Advantage checking accounts will receive one complimentary box of "Image" design checks per year. 

Preferred checking accounts will receive two complimentary boxes of either "Image" or "Emerald Elegance" design checks per year. 

Should a check design other than what is offered be selected, a $5 credit will be given towards the purchase of that selected check design.

A MSCU Visa Check card gives you the flexibility to use the card at an ATM and offers a convenient way to pay for everyday purchases at stores, restaurants, supermarkets or any of the millions of locations worldwide that accept the Visa card. It's easier than writing checks and safer than carrying cash. Purchases are automatically deducted from your MSCU checking account and conveniently detailed on your monthly MSCU statement.   You can even get cash back as part of your purchase transaction – that will save you time from making a separate trip!

Now you can use your MSCU ATM/Visa Check card at over 700 Connecticut ATMs and more than 53,000 ATMs nationwide – all surcharge transaction fee-FREE!

In addition to MSCU’s own ATMS, we are pleased announce that we have joined three national networks - Allpoint™, SUM™  and Co-Op® - and all surcharge transaction fee-FREE!

So, say "Good-Bye" to ATM Surcharge Transaction Fees other financial institutions charge and say "Hello" to MSCU's flat-rate plan – only $0.75 cents per month for Visa Check cards or $0.95 cents per month for ATM cards – and get unlimited, surcharge fee-FREE transactions at all Allpoint, SUM and Co-Op network ATMs. 

The MSCU ATM network program is an optional service, members may choose to opt out of the program.

This fee is waived for Preferred Checking Account members. If a MSCU account has multiple cards, the lowest fee would apply per account; not per card.
