Vice President/Branch Services

General Function

  • Responsible for administration, supervision and security of all branch services activities within established guidelines and procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Oversee daily operation of the branches

  • Responsible for the supervision of the personnel of the branch services department, including training, hiring, terminating, promoting, evaluating, and allocating salaries to these positions.

  • Meet and communicate regularly with each branch, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being adhered to.

  • Establish standards and continually evaluate the performance and viability of each branch.

  • Administer IRA and Certificates

  • Monitor cash needs at each location, ensuring that minimal level is maintained.

  • Monitor the security of each branch location, ensuring that security procedures are being followed.

  • Maintain positive communication with sponsor Corporation liaisons in branch area.

  • Responsible for analyzing all phases of branch operations, including rates and services, recommending changes when necessary.

  • Responsible for confronting problematic situations as they arise.

  •  Maintain proper controls of cash and bank deposits.

  • Responsible for maintaining positive member relations and member services.

  • Oversees the equipment and computer operations of each branch.

  • Over sees Business Development related to SEG membership, business products.

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires education equivalent to a college degree (preferably business or related major).

  • At least five years of similar or related experience required.

  • Intermediate mathematical skills required.

Member Service Representative - Shelton

Major Duties and Responsibilities*

We are seeking to fill the position of Member Service Representative III for the Shelton Branch. As a Member Service Representative you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately servicing varied transactions for the membership
  • Welcoming and directing members to the appropriate department for specific information on credit union services and policies
  • Providing service to help members make deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and balance information
  • Cross-selling the credit union services that benefit the members
  • Maintaining all items transacted and balances to the daily MSR/Teller report and submitting to Accounting
  • Answering member inquiries on credit union services and resolving member account discrepancies
  • Maintaining confidentiality of member accounts
  • Acts as Lead MSR in the event of their absence

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience in a credit union, banking, or cashier function
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Ability to type and use general office machines including computer terminals.
  • Knowledge of MSR/Teller procedures, services for members, and credit union philosophy
  • Must be willing and able to travel to other branch locations when necessary including Danbury and New Fairfield.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and Saturdays if needed.
